Add a New Background

After removing the background, swap in a new one in a few clicks — a solid color, gradient, your own image, or a soft blur right in removerbg's built‑in editor.

After you remove the original background, you can swap in a new one in just a few clicks — no separate image editor needed. Once your cutout is ready, click Edit to open removerbg's built‑in editor.

# Pick a new background

Open the Background tool and choose:

- Transparent — keep the clean cutout (the default). - Solid color — pick any color, or paste a hex value. - Gradient — apply a ready‑made gradient. - Image — upload your own photo as the new backdrop. - Blur — keep the original scene, softly blurred behind your subject.

# More than just backgrounds

The editor does a lot more in the same place:

- Shadow — add a natural drop shadow so your subject sits in the scene. - Adjust — fine‑tune brightness, contrast, and more. - Transform & Canvas — move, scale, and set the output size or aspect ratio. - Text & Effects — add captions or quick visual effects. - Layers — manage your subject, background, and overlays.

When you're happy, export your finished image and you're done.

Sometimes you don't have your favorite design app open, or you just need one quick result — that's exactly what the editor is for. Try it now.
