Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of removerbg (the “Service”), operated by removerbg. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

removerbg provides AI-powered image background removal through a web application and API. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We may also impose usage limits (for example, free daily quotas and credit-based usage) as described on our pricing page.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, which you may create using third-party sign-in (Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes the rights of others;
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or otherwise prohibited material;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent the Service, its rate limits, or its security;
• Resell or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted by your plan.

4. Credits and Payments

Paid plans and credit packs are billed through our payment processors (for example, Polar for purchases made on the website, and Google Play or the Apple App Store for purchases made in the mobile app). Prices, credit amounts, and plan terms are described on the pricing page.

All sales are final. Credits and subscription payments are non-refundable, and purchased credits are non-transferable and have no cash value, except where a refund is required by applicable law or by an app store’s own policies.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current billing period, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can cancel from your account on the website, in the Google Play Store → Subscriptions on Android, or in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptionson iOS. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s own policies.

If a payment is refunded, reversed, or charged back (including a refund initiated by an app store or your bank), we may revoke the corresponding credits and subscription access.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the images you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service (for example, to remove backgrounds and return the result to you). We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train models. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by removerbg and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

7. API Use

If you use our API, you must keep your API keys confidential and comply with any documented limits. We may revoke keys that are abused or that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, removerbg will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
