No. removerbg runs entirely in your web browser on desktop and mobile. There is nothing to download or install.

Yes, each upload can be up to 10 MB. If your file is larger, resize or re-export it at a smaller size before uploading.

You can download the result as a transparent PNG (best for keeping transparency), or export it as JPG or WebP. JPG does not support transparency, so it is flattened onto a background.

We use a modern, high-quality segmentation model that handles tricky edges like hair, fur, and semi-transparent areas well. Results are best on photos where the subject stands out clearly from the background; very low-contrast or blurry images can be harder.

The website processes one image at a time. If you need to handle large volumes automatically, use our API on a paid plan to integrate background removal into your own workflow.

This usually happens when the subject blends into the background or the image is low resolution. Try a clearer photo with better contrast between the subject and its surroundings. If it still looks off, contact us and we'll take a look.

Yes — you can remove up to 3 images per day for free without an account, or 10 per day with a free account. For higher volume, we offer pay-as-you-go credit packs and monthly subscriptions.

Each background removal costs 1 credit. Credits are used only when you're past the free daily allowance or using the API. You can see current prices and packs on the Pricing page.

Pay-as-you-go credit packs never expire — they stay in your account until you use them. Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing period and do NOT roll over to the next month, so unused ones expire. We always spend your subscription credits first, then your pay-as-you-go balance.

Credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire — good for occasional use. Subscriptions give you a set number of credits each month plus API access — these reset monthly and don't carry over to the next month. Subscriptions are better for regular or production use.

Payments are handled securely through our payment processor. You can pay by card during checkout on the Pricing page.

You can sign in with your Google account. There's no separate password to remember.

When you're signed in, your recent results are saved to your account for a limited time so you can download them again from your dashboard.

You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account at any time. After cancellation you keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Unless required by law or stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact us at support@remover.bg and we'll help.

Yes. Paid plans include access to a simple HTTP API so you can remove backgrounds programmatically and at scale. See the API docs for details.

Download URLs returned by the API are temporary and valid for about 24 hours, after which the file is removed. Save your results before the link expires.

Yes, usage is subject to fair-use rate limits to keep the service fast for everyone. Higher plans get priority processing.

Your images are processed only to produce your result and return it to you. We don't sell your images and we don't use your uploads to train our models.

Results are stored only temporarily so you can download them, and are automatically deleted after a short period (around 24 hours for download links). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

No. You keep all rights to the images you upload and the cutouts you create. You're responsible for having the rights to any image you upload.
